The Stewardship of Preparation

Preparing for an emergency is good stewardship. It is just one more part of taking good care (of ourselves and our families) and is as easy as 1-2-3. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has developed a program called “Ready in 3″. This program, which has only three steps – create a plan, prepare an emergency kit, and listen for information – is an easy way to learn how to prepare for an emergency and is simple to teach others.

You can download selected brochures from Ready in 3 and other helpful documents below. Links are provided for various websites for more information. Simply go to the Ready in 3 link found on the right side of this page.

Remember – no matter where we live or what we do, all of us can feel the impact of  natural disasters or acts of terrorism. Working with those at Church, in our community, and with friends and family, we can make sure we’re all better prepared for emergencies.
